When taking IQ test on Madden 2006 answer C for all answers that should give you a bad grade but when you enter the draft you will be a low pick which will mean you'll get picked by a good team.
When choosing your superstars stats do not aoutomatically make him 100% beefed up. Teams don't like that. Instead watch the bar on the bottom and put each stat at the point where they make it the highest possible. (TIP: No fat is always good!)
In NFL Superstar mode, make sure to choose your answers to interview questions wisely. The answers will affect your personality type and most endorsement companies want a player with a more conservative personality type, such as "Team Leader" or "Professional".
The most important things for a new superstar is hiring a good agent, having good parents (dna), and your appearance. Here are some tips for the following.
1. Your Parents (DNA): To get the best players, you need to have good parents. The number one thing you want is an NFL playing father. I try to get a hall of fame father or a pro bowl father. Also, you want both of your parents to have high IQ's. Without high IQ's, your awareness and other mental stats will be very low. NOTE: Make sure to read the 4 little clipped notes at the top by your perferred position. If you had an NFL playing WR, it might say that your dad couldn't catch a pass. A good position to start out with is Running Back. Most teams in the NFL need one now, and you most likely will start. (I got drafted by the Bears and I'm starting in front of Cedric Benson.)
2. Having a good agent: The best agent by far for a new super star is Danny C. By the numbers, he is pretty good. To get him, you must answer exactly like this in the interview.
Q1. What is your favorite before-the-game meal? A. Wherever we are eating, me and my teammates are eating together.
Q2. What other position besides _____ would you like to play? A. (any answer is acceptable)
Q3. What is the stadium you most look forward to playing in? A. Lambeau Field. A lot of history there.
These quiz answers are not completely accurate, but for most positions you can get Danny if you answer this way.
3. Appearance: Although you might think this is pretty stupid, it is one of the key aspects to gaining stardom. A quick way to raise this attribute without getting a higher risk for injury etc., after the draft, go to the mirror and choose the revolution helmet. That raised my appearance an entire color level. There's also Eye Paint, Nasal Strips, Gloves, Tapes, Wristbands, etc. for both arms, and there is a lot more. Another tip: don't get tatoos. Some are fine, but most of them aren't. Also, don't get a crazy cut from Larry at the Barber Shop. That also turns off fans. The more popularity you recieve, there is a better chance of getting a better agent.
When in training camp in the offseason play each drill one-by-one. after getting gold save and do next drill. If you don't get a gold or desired points don't save, but quit franchise mode and go to main Madden menu. Then load your franchise mode again and you shoud be able to try the drill again. ONLY WORKS IF AUTOSAVE IS DISABLED!
When you are about to return a kick, go straight for the middle and let your blockers pick up as many men as possible, then when you see a decent sized hole, break off and sprint. Don't try to do too many jukes because it slows your returner down and gives the kickoff team more time to tackle you. This hint works, as i get to the 37-40 yard line every time and 1 in 7 returns go past the 50 or for a touchdown.
Do the 2-minute drill under mini-games. Use 4 players and pick your opponent as an NFL Europe team, then pick all of the teams under your profile and use Quarterbacks that have a good QB Vision. Run Streak plays on offense, Touchdown almost every play!
Take the best wide receiver on your team and put him in the tightend position. Audible his route so he does a fly (straight) route. Since he has such a low overall rating, they may just have a line backer on him or he might not even be covered. Throw it to him and he will easily be able to burn the defense.
While on offense, choose an offense with three receivers; Trip Bunch in Single Back formation works very well. Put the defense on the goal line with Zone CB cover. By doing this, no one will rush your QB, and once your receiver gets past the zone, they will be left unguarded in the endzone for an easy 48 points per play almost all of the time. This should work with most short zone coverages and does not take many attempts to learn which receiver to pick, mostly anyone running a long slant.
Since the punt blockers do not block very much, it is better if you select the "Punt Block" formation instead of any other punt return formation. With the "Punt Block" formation, the punting team will not be spread out, therefore allowing your blockers to somewhat block for you; which in turn will give you more time to field the ball and have a little space to start something big.
If there is a player you want to injure, go to "Features", then to "Rosters". Select his team, then choose the player and go to "Attributes". Reduce his injury to "0". This may take awhile; you may also want to set the game to four or five minute quarters. Submitted By: devon
Play as the Eagles against the Ravens and score a touchdown with T.O. by diving in the endzone. He will do a Ray Lewis dance in the endzone as a celebration. If you are playing as either Donovan McNabb or Daunte Culpepper and you get tackled going into the endzone and scoring a touchdown, they will do their trademark dances. Daunte will "get his roll on" and Donovan will do the moonwalk. Submitted By: devon
The agents you get are based on the talent of your player. For example, if your player's overall rating is at least 84, you will get Dan Baker as an agent. When importing players, that RBs get better overall ratings, no matter how many Heismans or any other awards they have won. Your superstar's overall rating is based on your Heisman over ratings, that is then randomly altered slightly each time you import. When importing from NCAA Football 06, player's stats are randomly done. You can retry for better stats. The interview after the mentor meeting determines some stat boosts to important stats for your player's position.
If you have a player whose personality rating is "Disruption", select Jason Morales as your agent. He can usually get you a movie deal before the first season starts. Stay away from Aubrey DeLong, as he is not a good negotiator and it takes forever to get an endorsement deal.
Make sure to choose your answers to interview questions wisely. The answers will affect your personality type and most endorsement companies want a player with a more conservative personality type, such as "Team Leader" or "Professional". Also, when starting NFL Superstar mode try to select a father that is a Hall Of Famer and a mother or father that has a high IQ. Submitted By: devon
If your IQ test results are low, save the game before the IQ day and try it over again until your percentage is high.
Once you become a key player to a team, you can upgrade to a much better agent. Then, after two seasons you can resign with almost any team you desire.
After creating a player and signing an agent, go to the draft and start the draft. You will probably be selected in the third round unless you imported your player from NCAA Football 06 or NFL Street 2. If you do not like the team you got drafted by, then simulate the preseason. When the preseason is over go to your agent's office on the city map. Scroll down to "I demand a trade" and you will be traded to another team. If you dislike that team as well, then demand another trade. Be careful, as you can only demand two trades until the next season.
To go to the Performance Institute more than once a week, do not go until the day of the game. Then, go and do whatever drill desired. Once you are done, leave the map and go to your schedule. Leave there, then go back to the map and you can do it again. This will allow your player to be very well prepared for the next game.
To build your superstar's overall rating quickly, go to your schedule and simulate or play to a day where you have a game to play. Do not play the game immediately. Instead, go to the Performance Institute and do what is needed to get some points. Add them to your player and leave. If you have auto-save enabled, the game will save your stats for you. If you do not, then save it. Once you are done at the Performance Institute, look at your schedule, then leave. Go back to the Performance Institute to do the drills again with your previous points still there. You can keep training as long as you do it on a day that you have a game to play.

On punts, select the normal punt return (punt return left/right work too). Select one of the four defensive players that are on the outside (there are 2 on each side). Bring him close to the outside of the offensive line, just a couple spaces outside the edge. When the ball is snapped, sprint straight back past the denfenders, then angle across to the punter. With practice you can block the punt or sack the punter more than 2/3 of the time. Works best if the Offside penalty is turned off. You will occasionally mis-time the punt and get a roughing the kicker call, so be careful, but this is an acceptable risk considering how often you succeed. To improve your odds, go under substitutions and put your fastest player in one of these four slots and use him.
Instead of selecting "Return Middle" or "Return Left" or "Return Right" when you are recieving the kick off, choose "Onside Recover." Once your returner gets the ball, run towards the side that most of your blockers are on. Most of the time, the least you'll get to is the 50 yard line.
Go to I-form and the last option and choose HB lead toss. It is a hand off play but it is also a good way for a first down or even a goal token for your runningback.
