Madden NFL 07

Madden NFL 07 is a football video game which was released on August 22nd, 2006. It's also a launch title for the PlayStation 3 and reportedly the Wii. It is the 17th installment of the Madden NFL series, noted for color commentator John Madden. It features record-setting Seahawks runningback Shaun Alexander on the cover.

To mark the debut of Madden NFL 07, EA Sports released Madden NFL 07 in tiny Madden, Mississippi - the only municipality in the United States to have the same name as Coach Madden. With a population of 74, each resident recieved a free Xbox 360 gaming console and a free copy of Madden NFL 07. NFL stars in attendance were Jerry Rice, Warren Moon, and Marshall Faulk. Madden NFL 07 was playable in full form via Xbox 360 kiosks as well.

New Features

  • The most important new feature to Madden NFL 07 is Lead Blocker Control. After selecting a running play, you will be able to cycle through your offensive players as they get into position at the line. Select the player you want to control and after the ball is snapped, the camera zooms in on the fullback, tackle, guard, center, tight end, or even wide receiver that you decided to possess. It's now up to you to open up the path for the run, as the computer controls the halfback and tries to follow your path to daylight.
  • Also new to the game is the Highlight Stick. press the right analog stick in any direction and you'll see an animation where the smaller back will duck, spin, or squirt out of a tackle. You'll even be able to combo moves with the stick, piecing together a juke left with a hop step backwards (down on the right analog stick) to leave defenders eating turf. This will add an advantage to the elusive runners, not just the backs with bulk. The Truck Stick animations still exist for the bigger backs, but now you'll see a lot more variety of running moves with the addition of the Highlight Stick.
  • NFL Superstar puts the emphasis back on the superstar, both on and off the field. That means when you create your player, you only play as that player in games. So if you create a wide receiver, you actually play only as the receiver, complete with a different camera angle showcasing your player, with special moves tied to the right analog stick for every position. That means you don't call the play. You don't throw the ball (unless you're the QB). And you don't play defense(Unless you're on the defense). For those who don't want to watch the computer play the other positions, you do have the option to take over and play that side of the ball like a normal game.

Madden NFL 07 - Pre-Played

Madden 06 was the year of the passer. Now it's the ground game's turn to dominate! Use the new Lead Blocker Control to open running lanes, then burst through them with ball-carriers who run with player-specific styles thanks to the all-new Highlight Stick. Small backs slash through defenses, bruisers run over them, while both uncork all-new cutbacks, jukes, and power moves. Franchise Mode and NFL: Superstar Hall of Fame Mode have been improved, and, for the first time, you can use actual plays from team's defensive playbooks. 360-specific features include Replay Challenges, Mini Camps, and Madden Gamer Points, which you can earn then wager against the computer or live opponents.
